During the event, Koji shared his perspective on the value of industry collaboration and the importance of building a transparent and sustainable A2P messaging ecosystem.

Koji emphasised that roundtables and industry gatherings provide a rare opportunity for real knowledge-sharing between mobile network operators, aggregators, and researchers. These discussions, he noted, help operators gain clarity on complex areas of the messaging business and provide insight into challenges that may not always be visible within individual markets.

Reflecting on the key learnings from the event, Koji highlighted that while operators may differ in how much they prioritise the A2P business, they are often facing the same underlying challenges. He explained that his biggest takeaway was recognising that A2P is not only about revenue generation, but also about creating a transparent and well-structured business model that supports long-term sustainability.

Looking ahead, Koji shared that protecting the A2P ecosystem is becoming increasingly important, even in markets where fraudulent activity is not yet widespread. He noted that fraud tends to move from one destination to another, meaning operators must remain prepared and proactive. Strengthening business models, improving internal processes, and expanding employee expertise were identified as key areas of focus for addressing these risks.
